SILC Business School, Shanghai University is delighted to announce that the 2021 SILC Online Winter School is now open for applications.
The aim of the SILC online Winter School is to provide students with the first-hand economic, cultural and social experience of Shanghai, China. The topic of 2021 SILC Winter School is Doing Business in China - Creative Cultural Art Industry. The business lectures and case studies, visits to art schools, and workshops with entrepreneurs will ensure students have a good understanding of the whole value chain of the creative cultural art industry in China. Also, the Chinese traditional cultural activities and the basic Chinese language learning will help your students to understand what the real China is.
Time: December 6th – December 17th, 2021
Application deadline: Nov 22th, 2021

Program Attractions:
· Diversified online teaching approaches
Chinese language and Chinese culture classes will be conducted through live streaming, and students will interact with the teacher in real time through the Zoom platform. In the virtual city tour, students will follow the footsteps of the SILC anchor, go deep into the streets of Shanghai, and experience the unique charm of Shanghai culture. In the DBIC course, students will learn business theories and cases through our carefully recorded videos and have face-to-face communication with our professors and local entrepreneurs through live streaming.
· Mentor and one-to-one buddy scheme
Each visiting student is also allocated with an individual Chinese student of SILC, who will help to enhance their understanding of the language and culture.
· A taste of traditional Chinese culture
In this two-week program, we will offer a range of experiences including: Tea arts and Taichi- Martial arts.
· A vibrant cultural blend of East and West
A range of cultural experiences and a variety of virtual tours to scenic spots to the city of Shanghai with its vibrant cultural blend of East and West will be offered.
· Immersed experience for Doing Business in China
Students will have immersed business experience through face-to-face communication with the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, professors of the Shanghai Academy of Art and Design, and local entrepreneurs to understand the key to innovation and entrepreneurship that has taken hold in the creative cultural art industry of China.
· Certificate and transcript
On completion of SILC online winter school, students will be awarded a Winter School Certificate and an official transcript from SILC, Shanghai University.
Program Fee500 USD Application fe：50 USD
The Application fee will be waived and 20% discount of the program fees will be offered for students from our partner universities (Total fee: USD 400)
